Cardok UK appoints green homes pioneer

Underground parking solutions company Cardok UK has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of experienced property developer and green homes pioneer Nick Sandy.

Mr Sandy takes on the role of chief executive at Cardok UK, an arm of the Swiss firm behind the innovative Cardok hydraulic lift system which allows home owners to make more effective use of limited parking space and enables architects to maximise design space.
The Cardok is designed to accommodate one or more cars below ground with vehicles parked on top. As well as doubling the amount of home parking space for car owners, the Cardok offers far greater security than a conventional garage.
Mr Sandy, who is an experienced property developer with a strong background in property planning and renovation, will work closely with architects and other professionals on behalf of Cardok's customers.
He is also a green property pioneer and his former Bath home was voted one of the UK's most eco-friendly houses by solar energy firm HomeSun and Findaproperty.com. Its energy-saving features attracted interest from officials at the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
"I'm very excited to be joining Cardok as interest in our space-saving parking solutions begins to take off here in the UK," said Mr Sandy. "As well as solving the problem of off-road parking, the Cardok also allows home owners to substantially increase the value of their properties and enables architects to make the most of design space.
"This makes the Cardok a very attractive proposition, particularly in historic towns and cities where development space is at a premium and parking can be a major headache."
